Dr. Phillip Conner's Statement on FCC's Upcoming Vote on Net Neutrality
LAKE CHARLES, LA - Candidate for Louisiana's third congressional district Dr. Phillip Conner released the following statement regarding the Federal Communications Commission's upcoming December 14 vote on Net Neutrality and its potential effect on consumers and small businesses:
"As a small business owner and an advocate for small businesses across the third district, I cannot support a policy that will clearly put small businesses at a disadvantage.
Our congressional district has one of the nation’s fastest growing economies. A pro-small business mentality is an essential part of ensuring beneficial economic development continues. Without net neutrality, internet service providers could limit access while hiking up rates for small businesses, and consumers, across this district and hinder our growth. It's common sense."
